To welcome the season of joy, we are pleased to announce our Annual Cake Mixing Ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, 8th November 2025 at 3:15 p.m. This much-loved tradition marks the beginning of Christmas preparations, symbolizing togetherness, goodwill, and festive anticipation. Guests, management, and staff will gather in spirited unity to usher in the celebrations.
The ceremony will feature an exquisite combination of candied ginger, orange peel, apricots, figs, cherries, dates, raisins, black currants, and assorted nuts — totalling 100 kg. This rich medley will be soaked in a luxurious blend of wine, rum, and brandy, including 15 liters of carefully selected premium spirits, forming the flavorful foundation of Fortel Hotel’s signature Christmas plum cakes.
This festive season also brings the joy of gifting and sharing. A curated collection of Christmas goodies and specially crafted festive hampers will be available from the first week of December at the hotel’s charming lobby coffee and confectionery outlet, “Dessert Corner.”
Additionally, Christmas Special Corporate Group Lunches and Dinners will be available from the first week of December at Chilli Malli Restaurant, offering an ideal setting for office gatherings, team celebrations, and year-end corporate events.
The ceremony will be led by Executive Chef Mr. Praveen Raja, whose culinary expertise ensures an authentic celebration of seasonal flavors and festive warmth.
Mr. Sidharth, Director, Vaigai Hotel Group, will address the press on the occasion, sharing reflections on the Group’s longstanding heritage and its continued commitment to meaningful and memorable guest experiences.
