TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED AT VEPERY, CHENNAI
- 400+ Participants and 140 Teachers from Special Children Schools, Govt. Schools and Private Schools were honoured and felicitated
Chennai, 7th September 2026 – The Grand Teachers’ Day Celebration organized by KIND Organisation at Vepery, Chennai was concluded with great success with participation of more than 400 people. On this occasion, 140 Teachers from Special Children Schools, Govt. Schools and Private Schools were honoured and felicitated.
This celebration was a tribute to the selfless teachers who are the candles burning themselves to give light to others.
In his welcome address, President ShriVimalchandDhariwalJi said, “We honour teachers because they are the Nation Builders. They are Mountains of Love & Care, Ocean of Knowledge, and a Universe of Compassion. Especially, the teachers of Special Children are Angels on Earth, whose dedication and sacrifice cannot be measured.”
The program coordination for all schools was efficiently done by ShriVimalchandDhariwal, President &ShriRanjitJiBafna. The event was Presided by ShriSubhashRankaJi, Trustee – KIND Organisation.
Chief Guest ShriGaneshananthanGeathiswaran, Dy. High Commissioner, Sri Lanka appreciated the noble and selfless work being done by KIND Organisation for the community.A booklet written by Editors of KIND OrganisationShriRajendranChordia and ShriChellamDevadoss was released by the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Eminent Guests present were Prof. R.L. Godhara – Vice Chancellor, Dr. Arivudainambi – Director, Anna University, Dr. Arul Pitchai Narayanan – Arma Medical Foundations, ShriSubhash Chand JiRanka – Trustee, and ShriMurariSonthalia – Correspondent, AgarwalVidyalaya Schools.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Arul Pitchai Narayanan said, “I have never seen an organisation with such core and moral values to serve the community. Celebrations with special children and supporting children’s needs is truly commendable.”
He further added that the Animal Welfare programmes of KIND Organisation are indeed very excellent and society has faith in every member of this organisation, which means all are full of kindness and compassion.
Life Achievement Award was conferred upon Dr. SohanLalJi, Chairman of Amrith Hospitals, renowned eye surgeon who has performed 2,60,000 eye surgeries, for his 5 decades of service to humanity.
Accepting the award, Dr. SohanLalJi said, “We will shoulder all needs of Ophthalmic with KIND which cares for humanity since past years. I appreciate the dynamism of the leadership of KIND President and members.”
It was also announced that a clinic for Special Children only will be opened shortly with free consultations and medicines throughout the year by KIND with Physio support.
