Chennai, 6th July 2025: The Eye Foundation, a Coimbatore based comprehensive eye care solution provider, founded by Dr. D. Ramamurthy, Chairman & Managing Director of the group, opens their 25th signature centre at Vadapalani, Chennai.
With the aim of providing world class eye care to all the sectors of the society at an affordable price with humane touch, The Eye Foundation has centres across Tamilnadu, Kerala and Karnataka and now enters Chennai.
Inauguration:
The Eye Foundation, Chennai centre was inaugurated by Shri. Ma. Subramanian, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Tamil Nadu in the august presence of Padma Bhushan Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti Avl, Chairman Nalli Silks; Dr. Partha Biswas, President, All India Ophthalmological Society and Dr. Nityasree Mahadevan, Musician and Carnatic Singer on Sunday, 6th July 2025.

Dr. Ramamurthy, Chairman, The Eye Foundation is deeply committed to and passionate about bringing the best of scientific learning to his medical community. He was the Chairman – Scientific Committee of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) and subsequently was the President of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS) for 2016 – 2017. Dr. Chitra Ramamurthy, Medical Director of The Eye Foundation, was the Chairman of the Academic Research Committee of AIOS coordinating the academic & research activities of the organisation.
